Why Am I’m Switching to Ting for my Mobile Phone Service?
Recently Ting.com launched, offering an amazing cell phone service for humans, with intelligent simple pricing that (in nearly all instances) blows the competition away.
Honestly, you can save a bundle, and if you don’t believe me then take the test: pull out your current phone bill and compare it to what you’d save on their Savings Calculator ting.com/calculator - go ahead, I dare you. Don’t worry, I’ll wait.
Would you save money? Yes? I thought so.
It’s pretty awesome: if you use a lot of data, but few minutes, you don’t pay for a lot of both; everything’s independent. If you go under on your minutes / texts / MB, they credit you. Go over on them, there’s no overages, they just put you on the next tier. Simple. Intelligent. Awesome.
Sadly, you have to buy a phone from them. It kinda stinks. It’s something that Ting wishes they didn’t have to make you do, but it’s not their call, it’s part of them using Sprint’s network. Yet, even with a phone, almost all people I have talked to would save money (often times a lot of money) each year with Ting… including me.
Worried about quality service? Well, as said, they operate on the Sprint network, so if you can get Sprint service (including 4G) somewhere, you can get Ting service (including 4G) there too. They also allow call / data roaming within the US for free.
Oh yeah, and no contract, no annual fees, no hidden fees, nothing.
So, I am switching.
I’m leaving T-Mobile after years of service. My service with T-Mobile was always great, I never had any issues, always got great phones with great upgrades, and really enjoyed it.
But once I saw what Ting had to offer, I realized something: I was being punked.
It’s time for Big Cell to follow Ting’s example and start treating us like friends, not slaves.
This is pretty freaking amazing, and they actually get decent service by my house according to their map. I’m on Verizon currently, and I really love my phone, otherwise I would consider switching. But to anyone else looking to switch, this company looks freaking amazing.
